The “Avicenna – Batumi Medical University” LLC Staff Management Policy lays out the guidelines and protocols for hiring, selecting, allocating, and managing the workload of academic, administrative, support, and invited staff. It also covers staff evaluation, offering incentives, and taking part in professional development activities.

The objectives of the Policy:

  • Institutional control over university operations;
  • Enhancing the employees’ motivation;

 

  • Establishing a clear, impartial method for assessing the effectiveness of the task completed;
  • Supporting the academic or administrative operations of the university in accordance with Georgia’s Labour Code regulations and best practices for staff management.

The tenets of university personnel development and management are:

  • Equality refers to treating all workers fairly and impartially, both while they are holding a position and when they are carrying out their work and benefiting from the employer’s benefits in the same way;
  • Objectivity: refers to basing any decision on the hiring of an organisation within the framework of a rule on clear and open standards;
  • Openness: this refers to the employer’s stance on luring candidates through competitive or open hiring;
  • Multifaceted evaluation: refers to the process of evaluating staff workers by involving all members of the university community in addition to using key task indicators and the supervisor’s opinion;
  • Development: This refers to the employer’s encouragement of employees’ professional advancement and development.
