Rector's address

“It gives me great pleasure and honour to introduce myself as Sophio Beridze, the newly elected Rector of Avicenna – Batumi Medical University, Georgia, a recently founded institution.

Our top goal is to establish an academic setting that will educate the next generation of physicians and medical personnel, share our expertise, and foster the application of new scientific research in the medical field for the benefit of the local, national, and global communities.

Our mission is to meet regional and global healthcare needs by addressing complex clinical or public health issues through systemic recognition and management. Our motto is “Learn for Life.”

Our university runs on the unified platform of the massive holding company “Medcenter,” which offers a genuine chance to fortify every circle, from professional mastery, lifelong learning, and continuous development, to basic education.

Individuals from Georgia and other countries who enrol at Avicenna – Batumi Medical University to study medicine and pursue a career in academia will join the contemporary medical education model that guarantees a person’s welfare, longevity, mental and physical health, and psycho-social harmony from illness prevention to rehabilitation. Regardless of a patient’s social standing, health, or religious convictions, their medical care will always come first. They will base their values on a respect for humankind and its diversity of biocultural practices.
