Career Support

Employment in University Clinics

According to the agreement reached with partner medical clinics, the university offers graduates who are willing to work in the area employment in Avicenna University-affiliated clinics. As graduates enter residency/training programmes, Avicenna University (affiliated) clinics and the University work together to help them plan their careers. Every year, Avicenna University-affiliated clinics offer openings for students and graduates to use the Support and Career Development Service. The Support and Career Development Service for Students and Graduates is responsible for coordinating the hiring process in affiliated/university clinics on behalf of the university. The Deputy Rector for Management of Clinical Facilities and Educational Resources oversees this process.

Enhancement of Cooperation with Medical Institutions

Improving collaboration with medical facilities across the nation and the region is intended to give university students more chances for clinical experience while they are studying, as well as more, different career paths in the form of open positions in medical facilities across the nation and the region. The university’s Support and Career Development Service for Students and Graduates periodically contacts medical facilities around the nation to learn about openings in the field of medicine.

Development of Career Skills

The planning of extracurricular activities, trainings, and master classes for university students with the goal of developing communication with employers, planning a medical career, as well as other skills that are relevant to the labour market, is one way that the development of career and transferable skills occurs during the study period. Research on career development needs, identification of pertinent training needs, interaction with trainers, and organisational support for training and other activities are all provided by the Support and Career Development Service for University Students and Graduates. The Deputy Rector for Clinical Bases and Educational Resource Management oversees the University’s process of organising and developing career development initiatives.
