On July 21, 2022, the teaching university “Avicenna – Batumi Medical University” LLC was established in compliance with the law, based on the recommendation of Medcenter’s Academic Council of Advisors and the decision of the founding partners – foundation agreement. The primary activity was identified as the implementation of educational programmes aimed at the medical field.

The mission of Avicenna – Batumi Medical University is to make the phrase “learning for life” a reality and establish itself as a strong academic platform, providing the region with high-quality medical education. The university is built on the application of modern and innovative methods of teaching/learning and research in accordance with Western standards, internationalisation, development of international relations, and creation and sharing of knowledge. Based on its operations and the past experiences of its staff in teaching and scientific research, the University and its founding organisations encompass all facets of health care, from prevention to rehabilitation, offering a chance to train professionals who can meet the demands of the cutthroat western medical industry. Both the advancement of the medical field in the area and the standard of medical education will benefit from this.
