Avicenna – Batumi Medical University will be hosting a public lecture on February 26, at 16:00, to mark the beginning of the academic semester. A public lecture will be held on the topic: “Pandemics and viral-immune coevolution”.
The lecture will cover various viruses that cause infections in humans, including coronaviruses, influenza viruses, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis viruses, herpesviruses, and papillomaviruses. The focus will be on the interaction between viruses and the human immune system, as well as the mechanisms of immune response. The lecture will also discuss the key principles and processes of virus evolution and coevolution with the immune system during a pandemic.
The lecture will be delivered by Doctor of Medical Science Giorgi Kamkamidze, Professor of the University of Georgia and Director of Clinic Neolab.
